By accessing and using Akangbou ("the Platform"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform.

Akangbou is a professional network platform for builders, developers, and contractors. The Platform enables users to:

• Find and connect with contractors
• Request and provide project quotes
• Review and rate services
• Host and attend events
• Communicate with other professionals

User Accounts

Registration

You must create an account to use certain features of the Platform. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

Account Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Platform.

User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Post spam or unsolicited commercial content
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform
• Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's operation
• Use automated tools to access the Platform without permission

Content

User Content

You retain ownership of content you post on the Platform. By posting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and display your content in connection with operating the Platform.

Content Standards

All content must:

• Be accurate and not misleading
• Comply with applicable laws
• Not infringe on third-party rights
• Not contain malicious code or harmful materials
• Be appropriate for a professional audience

Content Moderation

We reserve the right to remove, modify, or refuse to publish any content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable.

Contractor Services

Contractor Verification

While we may verify certain information provided by contractors, we do not guarantee the accuracy, quality, or legality of contractor services. Users are responsible for conducting their own due diligence.

Transactions

The Platform facilitates connections between users and contractors but is not a party to any transactions. We are not responsible for disputes between users and contractors.

Reviews

Reviews must be based on genuine experiences and comply with our content standards. We may remove reviews that appear fraudulent or violate these Terms.

Payments and Fees

Platform Fees

Certain features may require payment. All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

Payment Processing

Payments are processed through Stripe. By making a payment, you agree to Stripe's terms of service.

Event Ticketing

Event organizers are responsible for fulfilling ticket sales. Refund policies are set by event organizers.

Intellectual Property

The Platform and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Akangbou and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Disclaimers

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AKANGBOU SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Akangbou from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the Platform or violation of these Terms.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Platform immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes. Your continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court.
