Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: November 22, 2025

Rules that keep the Akangbou marketplace, waitlist engine, messaging tools, and event stack respectful, secure, and reliable.

Responsible Platform Use

Akangbou exists to help construction professionals collaborate. Every profile, marketplace listing, event, or message you publish must support that mission and reflect accurate, good-faith information.

  • Maintain a complete and truthful professional profile, including licensing and insurance data when requested.
  • Represent only the companies, projects, or campaigns you have authority to speak for.
  • Keep account credentials secret and use multi‑factor authentication wherever available.
  • Respect feature limits (rate limits, API quotas, and automation guardrails).

Prohibited Activities

The following actions will trigger moderation, suspension, or removal from the network.

  • Harassment, hate speech, or discriminatory behavior toward any user or community.
  • Posting spam, lead‑gen bait, deceptive offers, or irrelevant promotional content.
  • Attempting to scrape data, reverse engineer the platform, or bypass security controls.
  • Listing counterfeit services, misrepresenting project budgets, or staging fake waitlist progress.
  • Uploading malware, running bots that create accounts or reservations, or interfering with system availability.

Security & Data Handling

Professionals routinely exchange sensitive building data, pricing, and attendee details. Treat all information shared through Akangbou as confidential unless clearly public.

  • Collect attendee or supporter data only for the stated purpose of the event, marketplace campaign, or quote.
  • Store exported data securely and delete it when the business purpose ends.
  • Report suspected account compromise or vulnerabilities to security@akangbou.com immediately.

Enforcement & Appeals

We may warn, suspend, or terminate accounts without notice when urgent risk exists. You may appeal within 14 days by emailing compliance@akangbou.com with context, remediation steps, and supporting evidence.
