Accessibility Statement
Last updated: September 24, 2026
Our commitment to an accessible Akangbou, known limitations, and how to get help.
Our Commitment
Akangbou wants everyone — including people with disabilities — to be able to find professionals, request quotes, book, buy tickets, and participate in the community. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA across our website and mobile apps.
What We Do
- Declare the page language and provide a “Skip to main content” link and a main landmark on every app page.
- Show a visible focus indicator for keyboard users on links, buttons, form fields, and custom controls.
- Respect your operating system’s reduced-motion setting.
- Label form fields and icon-only buttons, and support light and dark color themes.
- Review new features for keyboard access, screen-reader labels, and color contrast before release.
Known Limitations
- Some older pages, charts, and user-uploaded images may lack full text alternatives. Content posted by users (photos, PDFs, event descriptions) is the responsibility of the person who posted it.
- Payment fields and checkout pages are provided by Stripe and follow Stripe’s accessibility practices.
- We are working through an audit of remaining issues and fix reported problems as a priority.
Feedback and Assistance
If you have trouble using any part of Akangbou, or need information in an alternative format, email accessibility@akangbou.com with the page address and a description of the problem. We aim to respond within 2 business days and can help you complete a task (such as a booking or ticket purchase) by other means while we fix the issue.
Event Accessibility
Event organizers are responsible for the accessibility of their venues and must share accessibility details with attendees on request, as described in the Events & Ticketing Policy.
