Community Guidelines
Last updated: November 22, 2025
Expectations for how builders, developers, contractors, and supporters interact across feeds, messages, events, and the marketplace.
Be Constructive and Inclusive
Akangbou is a professional space. Treat every conversation, review, and collaboration with the same respect you would bring to a job site walk‑through or investor meeting.
- Use clear, direct language. Avoid sarcasm, insults, or inflammatory remarks.
- Celebrate diverse builders, developers, and trades. No harassment, hate speech, or stereotyping.
- Disclose conflicts of interest when recommending partners or reviewing projects.
Quality Profiles & Portfolios
- Upload only project photos, testimonials, or case studies you have permission to share.
- Keep business information current—especially licensing, insurance, and service areas.
- Use your real name, company, and role. Sockpuppet or burner accounts are removed without notice.
Marketplace & Waitlist Conduct
Campaign pages and supporter updates must accurately describe pricing, shipping timelines, and fulfillment milestones.
- Do not inflate waitlist numbers or fabricate “confirmed” reservations.
- Communicate schedule slips or manufacturing blockers to supporters as soon as they surface.
- Honor refunds automatically when a campaign expires or an event goal is not met.
Events & Community Programming
- Publish precise venue details, access instructions, and safety expectations.
- Keep attendee communications on-platform whenever possible so the full team can support you.
- Respect attendee privacy—never share registration lists externally without explicit permission.
Reporting & Escalations
Flag anything that violates these guidelines using the in-product reporting tools or by emailing community@akangbou.com. We review most reports within two business days and will follow up with status whenever we take action.
