This document governs participation in the Akangbou Influencer Program. Please review it carefully before accepting the terms inside your dashboard.
Standard Affiliate Commission / Revenue Share Agreement
Agreement Version: v2026-09
Effective Date: September 24, 2026
What changed from v2025-01: detailed endorsement-disclosure requirements (section 2.6.2).
Parties:
- [TO BE CONFIRMED: legal entity name] (“Akangbou”, “we”, “our”) – platform operator.
- Influencer (“you”, “your”) – approved participant in the Akangbou Influencer Program.
2.1 Program Overview
Akangbou operates a referral-based influencer program. Once approved and after accepting this Agreement, you may share a unique invite link or code with prospective customers. When those customers subscribe to an eligible paid plan, you earn commissions as described below, subject to the terms and limitations set forth herein.
2.2 Eligibility & Enrollment
- Approval Required: Program access is by invitation. Akangbou may approve, decline, or revoke participation at its sole discretion.
- Accurate Information: You must maintain accurate profile data (legal name, tax information, payment details).
- Compliance with Laws: You agree to comply with all applicable laws, including FTC endorsement guidelines, CAN-SPAM, TCPA, and state/provincial marketing regulations.
- No Transfer: Participation rights are personal and non-transferable.
2.3 Commission Structure
| Item | Detail | | --- | --- | | Payout | $2.00 USD per active referral per month | | Frequency | Accrues monthly for each referral during every billing cycle the subscriber remains active and paid | | Duration cap | Maximum of 12 consecutive commissionable months per referral | | Plan eligibility | Applies to paid Akangbou subscriptions unless otherwise stated. Free, discounted, or internal plans do not generate commissions. | | Stacking | One influencer receives commission per subscriber (first valid code wins). | | Chargebacks / Refunds | If a subscriber payment is refunded or fails, the corresponding commission is reversed in the next cycle. |
Akangbou may update commission rates or structures with at least 30 days’ notice. Existing referrals retain the rate they were assigned (“grandfathered”) for the remainder of their 12‑month eligibility window unless the program terminates earlier per Section 2.8. Commissions stop immediately if the referred subscriber cancels, pauses, or otherwise loses good-standing status on their Akangbou subscription.
2.4 Tracking & Attribution
- Unique Links/Codes: You will receive a unique invite URL and code. Only conversions attributed to that identifier count toward commissions.
- Cookies & Windows: Standard tracking window is 30 days via cookie or direct code entry.
- Self Referrals Prohibited: You may not earn commissions on your own purchases or those of an entity you control.
- Fraud Monitoring: Akangbou may audit referrals for fraud, duplicate accounts, or non-compliant traffic sources. Suspected fraud pauses payouts pending review.
2.5 Payment Terms
- Minimum Threshold: Commissions are tallied in USD. Payouts occur when your pending balance reaches $25 USD or when Akangbou issues scheduled payouts (monthly).
- Method: Payments are made via the method you configure (e.g., ACH, Stripe Connect, or other approved channels). Fees charged by payment providers may be deducted.
- Taxes: You are responsible for all taxes, filings, and reporting in your jurisdiction. Akangbou may collect tax forms (e.g., W‑9, W‑8BEN) and withhold payments until received.
- Adjustments: Akangbou may offset future payouts to reconcile prior overpayments, chargebacks, or policy violations.
- Statements: You can view real-time earnings in
/influencer/dashboard. Monthly statements are emailed automatically (Phase 4).
2.6 Influencer Obligations
- Brand Guidelines: Follow the creative and messaging rules provided in
docs/influencer/BRAND_GUIDE.md(or latest location). - Disclosure: Clearly disclose your affiliate relationship in every post, email, or communication where the invite link appears, as set out in section 2.6.2.

2.6.2 Endorsement Disclosure Requirements (FTC Endorsement Guides, 16 C.F.R. Part 255)
- Every endorsement, every time. Any content that mentions Akangbou and includes, or points to, your invite link or code must disclose that you earn a commission. This applies to social posts, stories, reels, livestreams, videos, podcasts, newsletters, blogs, texts and direct messages.
- Clear and conspicuous. Place the disclosure where people will see it without clicking "more", scrolling or expanding: at the start of captions, on-screen for video (and said out loud in audio or live content), and repeated periodically during livestreams. Use the same language as the content.
- Acceptable wording. Use plain words such as "#ad", "Ad", "Sponsored", "Paid partnership" or "I earn a commission if you sign up with my link." Ambiguous tags alone (for example "#sp", "#collab", "#ambassador", "thanks Akangbou") are not enough. Use the platform's built-in paid-partnership label where one exists, in addition to your own disclosure.
- Honest claims only. Only describe experiences you actually had. Don't state or imply results, earnings or savings you can't substantiate, and don't make claims about Akangbou's features, pricing, licensing verification or professionals that Akangbou hasn't published.
- No fake engagement. Don't post or solicit fake reviews, buy followers or engagement, or ask others to post referral content without their own disclosure.
- Monitoring and cure. Akangbou may review your content. If content lacks a proper disclosure, you'll fix or remove it within 48 hours of notice. Commissions attributable to non-compliant content may be withheld, and repeated or serious violations are grounds for suspension or termination under section 2.8.
